Discover the beauty of Johns Creek’s natural wildlife on a guided bird watching walk designed especially for active seniors. Join us at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve for a relaxing morning on the trails, where you’ll learn to identify local and migratory birds by sight and sound. Our staff will share tips on spotting feathered friends, using binoculars, and understanding bird behaviors in their natural habitats.
This program promotes gentle outdoor activities, social connection, and a deeper appreciation of the natural world. With plenty of opportunities to pause and take in the scenery, participants can enjoy the peaceful setting of Autrey Mill Nature Preserve’s 46 acres of forested wetlands while engaging both mind and body.
No prior birding experience is needed—just bring comfortable walking shoes, a refillable water bottle, binoculars, and curiosity!
