School Break Camp Autrey Mill
What is Camp Autrey Mill?
Camp Autrey Mill is Not your “Run of the Mill” day camp! Camp Autrey Mill gives children the tools to safely explore the natural environment for a lifetime. We strive to instill an appreciation of history and nature through crafts, games, puzzles, and historical artifacts. Children will also get to meet the animals and learn important lessons about wildlife and nature preservation. The camp ratio is 10-12 campers per 1 instructor. If you have any questions about Camp Autrey Mill, please email us!

Camper Code of Conduct
At Nature Camp, we want everyone to have fun, stay safe, and feel welcome. To make that happen, every camper is expected to follow this code of conduct every day:
Be Kind and Respectful
- Use kind words and actions with everyone—campers, counselors, and animals too!
- Listen when someone is talking and take turns when playing or speaking.
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. No hitting, pushing, or rough play.
Be Safe
- Stay with your group and follow directions from counselors.
- Walk (not run!) on trails and keep your shoes on.
- Use sticks and rocks for exploring—not for throwing.
- Tell an adult right away if someone is hurt or if something doesn’t feel right.
Take Care of Nature
- Treat all plants and animals gently—look with your eyes, not your hands.
- Stay on marked trails and do not pick flowers or disturb wildlife.
- Leave nature the way you found it. “Take only memories, leave only footprints.”
Be Ready to Explore
- Come prepared each day with a water bottle, snack/lunch, sunscreen, and bug spray.
- Use camp supplies and materials the right way and help clean up when you're done.
- Try new things, ask questions, and have fun learning about the world around you!
If Rules Are Not Followed | Campers who have trouble following these rules will:
- Be given a gentle reminder.
- Be given time away from the group to cool down and reflect.
- Have a counselor speak with their grown-up if the behavior continues.
- In serious cases, a camper may be sent home for the day or dismissed from camp.
We’re here to have a great time together! Let’s make camp safe, fun, and full of adventure for everyone!
