9 AM – 12 PM

What to wear:
Water shoes, boots, or waders

All homeowners and their neighbors are encouraged to join us, or even look at streams/tributaries closer to home, to help. We will sort, bag, and weigh collected debris and litter for pickup the afternoon of the event, and the city will properly dispose of the waste.

More information:

  • Bring water shoes (if you’re getting in the water), a hat, a water bottle(reusable), sunscreen, and bug repellent.
  • Supplies already there will include water to refill your water bottle, a first aid kit, a cell phone (to take pictures and for a 911 call if needed), trash bags, gloves, and “grabbers”
  • We’ll do introductions and briefly review the importance of keeping our watershed clean.
  • If you want to stay dry, let us know ahead of time.  You can help by pulling invasive privet and/or removing heavy/full trash bags from those in the stream at key points, and providing replacement bags as needed.

Participating Johns Creek residents can use a 10% Stormwater credit to apply toward the Stormwater Fee next year. See the link below for more details.
