More information:
- We will focus on the section of Johns Creek that serves as the western border of MLB subdivision from 9 AM to 12 PM
- Park at the Groomsbridge Club House parking lot and walk/meet at the soccer field entrance to the nature trail by 9 AM
- Bring water shoes (if you’re getting in the water), hat, water bottle(reusable) sunscreen, and bug repellant as you may need
- Supplies already there will include water to refill your water bottle, first aid kit, cell phone (to take pictures and for 911 call if needed), trash bags, gloves and “grabbers”
- We’ll do introductions and a brief overview of the importance of keeping our watershed clean
- Then we’ll team up for safety and walk the approximately ½ of a mile to the north end of the creek (from what we call Deer Island) to clean the creek back to the soccer field area at the south end
- For those who want to stay dry, just let Larry know ahead of time. You can help by pulling the invasive privet and or taking heavy/full trash bags from those in the stream at key points and providing replacement bags as needed.
