Forest Therapy

Forest therapy is a global wellness movement that is experiencing rapid growth in the health and wellness field. Practiced across many cultures, each defines the scope of the practice in slightly different ways. Forest therapy was developed from forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku), which is a research-based healing practice that involves immersing oneself in forest environments to improve mental and physical health as well as disease prevention, while at the same time being able to enjoy and appreciate the forest environment.

During our time together, we will wander and safely engage with Nature through our senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. Holly offers you the opportunity to unwind, destress, and practice some mindfulness. This special time at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve will deepen your connection to Nature, your inner being, and each other. Come join us for this mindful and meditative opportunity to explore Autrey Mill in a new way!

Registration required. A parent or guardian must accompany children for the duration of the session. Please wear closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. It is recommended you bring a water bottle.
