Species: African Spurred Tortoise (Sulcata Tortoise)
About Pebbles: 20 years old, and 35 pounds of charm. He has been nicknamed “the Star of Autrey Mill” because of his big size and even bigger personality. He loves to sleep in and take laps around his outdoor enclosure. He loves basking in the sunshine and can be found hiding in his outdoor burrow. He particularly loves being sprayed with the hose on a hot day! Some of his favorite treats are collard greens, blueberries, and carrot. Mainly Pebbles eats Timothy Hay. He is often the center of attention for various programs at Autrey Mill, like Feeding Fridays and Reptile Field trips. If you request a Nature Birthday Bash, you could even have the chance to meet and feed Pebbles!
