Signed up for 2021 Camp Autrey Mill- now what?

Below is some basic information regarding our camps:

  • Pre- Care the weeks of 6/7, 6/21, 7/12, and 7/26
    • Drop-off between 8 am – 8:15 am camp staff will receive your camper by the chickens.
  • Arrival 9:00 AM.
    • Proceed to your specified drop-off location (map will be sent the Thursday before camp).
    • Please, wear a mask and roll down you and your child’s windows. We may take their temperature.
    • Email chloe.green@autreymill.org if-
      • the pick-up individual is someone other than you (the account holder) please email the alternates name(s).
      • checking in or out after 9 am or before 3 pm.
  •  Lunch/Snack
    • Full-day campers bring a snack & lunch. Half-day campers bring a snack. After-care campers bring two snacks & lunch.
    • All campers must bring a refillable water bottle.
  •  Attire
    • Bring a spare change of clothes.
    • Bug spray and sunscreen are encouraged.
    • Campers attending Wild Water, Habitat Hunter, History Nature Detectives, and Survivor Camps need to bring a towel, swim attire, and an extra pair of shoes (water shoes) to change into for the creek.
  •  Pick-up
    • Full-day camps will end at 3:00 PM & half-day camps at 12 PM
    • Proceed to your specified pick-up location (see map).
    • On approach, we will ask for a Photo ID. Please wear a mask when speaking with the counselor(s).
  • After-Care the weeks of 6/7, 6/21, 7/12, and 7/26
    • Pick-up between 4:45 pm and 5 pm, campers and staff will be waiting at the chickens.
  • Late-pick-up after a grace period of 15 minutes, we will begin charging parents $1 per minute (barring exceptional circumstances).
  • Covid-19 As many of you already know Camp Autrey Mill will look a little different this year. These changes have been carefully considered to help safeguard the health of everyone involved with the camp.
    • Prevention Counselors and staff have been trained and will participate with campers in everyday measures to prevent the spread of infectious disease, including:
      • Mandatory hand washing throughout the day
      • Expect to wear masks
      • Disinfecting frequently touched surfaces
      • Covering mouth and nose with arm if sneezing or coughing
    • Mitigation Protocol If someone becomes ill while at camp, the following steps will be taken: Containment, Cleaning, and in the case of a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19, Contacting & Closure.
      • Containment: The ill individual will be moved to a building that will be otherwise unused during the summer and supervised until departure
      • Cleaning: Potentially exposed items and surfaces to be disinfected. The isolation area will be disinfected after the unwell person has left the facilities.
      • Contact: All potentially exposed parties will be notified while protecting the confidentiality of the ill person.  No names or contact information will be given out to other parents or campers.
      • Confirmation Closing: If a diagnosis of COVID-19 is confirmed, camp will be closed for a minimum of 3 days to thoroughly disinfect all areas.
  • Cancellation Policy
    • If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible.
    • All requests must be made in writing by emailing chloe.green@autreymill.org for consideration.
    • If you cancel with two or more weeks’ notice, you will only be charged $20 per child.
    • If you cancel within two weeks of the camp’s start date, then you will only receive a 50% refund of the total cost of the camp.
    • Switching or transferring between programs is allowed, based on availability, there is a fee of $20 per switch.
    • If illness causes a program participant to miss a program, a doctor’s note is required for makeup days, to switch programs, or to be refunded.
    • Autrey Mill Nature Preserve reserves the right to cancel a program due to insufficient enrollment. Account-holders will receive a full refund (excluding any membership fees) should a camp be canceled.
