Johns Creek Clean-Up and Crawl – August 14th, 2021
Join us for a City of Johns Creek initiative as we clean up our City’s namesake – Johns Creek.
Join us at Autrey Mill and follow us down to the Old Alabama Johns Creek overpass where we will dip our toes, survey for fish, gather litter, and learn the process for Adopt-A-Stream Bacterial Monitoring.
Timeline of the Day:
9:30 AM – Meet at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve
10:00 AM – We will caravan over to John’s Creek where we will start collecting litter.
11:30 AM – We will bring our collected litter back over to Autrey Mill where we will weigh it and properly dispose of it.
We will be finished around 12 PM.
How do I register?
Registration is free and you can register online here! Click on the tab labeled “Adopt-A-Stream”.
What should I bring?
Expect to get wet! Please come prepared with rain boots, waders, etc.
What does Autrey Mill supply?
We supply trash bags, gloves, and grabbers.

Participants must be 12 or over.
Participants ages 12-15 need a parent or adult chaperone.
Participants 16 and 17 do not need a chaperon, but parents will have to complete the online waiver.
