Signed up for 2018 Camp Autrey Mill- now what?
Thank you for enrolling your children in Autrey Mill’s Nature and Heritage Summer Camps. We are very excited about our camps this year and we are sure to have tons of fun, while learning about nature and history. Below is some basic information regarding our camps:
|Pre-Care||Every other week we have pre-care options available (the weeks of June 4th, June 28th, July 9th, and July 23rd). You may park in the gravel or paved lots. If you are registered drop off is at the Visitor Center at 8am. To register visit: Pre-Care and After-Care Registration|
|Arrival||Camps will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. Campers should plan on arriving no more than 15 minutes before the camp begins. You may park in the gravel or paved lots. On Monday mornings all campers will check in at the Pole Barn (our covered picnic pavilion) adjacent to the Visitor Center.|
|Check-in/Check-out||Tuesday- Friday, please walk your camper to designated drop off area (instructions will be given on Monday morning). Each camp leader will have a roster sign-in sheet, so please make sure you sign-in upon arrival and sign-out during pick-up. Teachers and staff will be available during this time to make sure you can quickly and easily complete this process. Please give special instructions to counselors in writing as well as verbally, i.e. allergy info, early-pickup, alternative pick up, ect…|
|Lunch/Snack||Campers will want to pack both a snack and a lunch. Please make sure all lunches and snacks are non-perishable and please try to limit peanut products due to potential allergies. Half day campers do not need a lunch, but will need a snack.|
|Drinks||While we do have water fountains available, we recommend all campers bring a refillable water bottle. Our hydration policy states that all campers must at least drink one full water bottle in the morning, refill it and drink it again in the afternoon.|

During Nature Camps, and because we require a pair of shoes to be worn in the creek, we suggest packing a pair of sandals or water shoes to in and out of. Bug spray and sunscreen should be applied before camp begins.
Campers should receive their Camp shirts on Monday Morning and should wear them on Friday.
