The longest days of winter are behind us, and at Autrey Mill, we eagerly await spring and the return of birds, butterflies and spring flowers. This year, we also look forward to the return of our fundraising event, WILD About Autrey Mill. After a one-year hiatus, the timing of this popular event has been moved to coincide with Wild Weekend, adding more adult-oriented activities to our annual appreciation of nature. We hope you will join us in celebrating Butterflies, Botanicals, and All Things WILD About Autrey Mill on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
We are asking area businesses to support this unique event by donating items for our silent auction or by becoming a corporate sponsor. You will be making a tax-deductible contribution, your business will be thanked on the event program and on our website, and merchandise or services you donate will be displayed during the event.
Mayor of Johns Creek Mike Bodker, Fulton County Commission Vice Chair Liz Hausmann, and Georgia Revenue Commissioner Lynne Riley have agreed to serve as Honorary Co-Chairs of the event, confirming their strong support of Autrey Mill.
Mike Bodker, Mayor, City of Johns Creek:
“I often refer to Autrey Mill as the hidden jewel of our City, as it serves to preserve our heritage and history while offering a respite from the everyday…benefiting not only those who live in Johns Creek, but many in the northern metro region.”
Liz Hausmann, Commissioner , Fulton County District 1
“Autrey Mill is an oasis in the middle of a thriving city that offers both a step back in time to the history of North Fulton and a place to enjoy its natural beauty. It’s a great place to escape – right here in our backyard!”
Lynne Riley, State Revenue Commissioner, Georgia Department of Revenue:
“As a place of beauty and tranquility nestled in our lively community, Autrey Mill provides the citizens of Johns Creek with a setting to reflect on our heritage and learn more about our natural environment.”
We hope you will join our co-chairs and support our educational programming either by becoming a sponsor or donating a silent auction item and by attending our gala fundraiser event featuring food and entertainment. Your tax-deductible financial and in-kind donations allow us to fulfill our mission of historical and environmental appreciation, preservation, and education. Please see the Silent Auction Donation and Sponsor Acceptance forms for more information.
